free unlimited international calls

Are you spending so much money in international calls?
Do you use a lot of call card per month to call your mom/love ones overseas?
Then this information is for you.

I have been calling my parents and in laws overseas for unlimited hours and for free
Of course there is a way to communicate with them using a computer and a webcam but the disadvantages:
1. when you want to call them you need to wait for them to go online.
2. When your parents are not a computer literate, they will have to wait for somebody to setup the computer for them.
3. You will still need to text message them or call them to tell them to go online.

You will initially spend money to buy the needed phones, but consider the savings in the long run. You will no longer need to buy a call card forever and no monthly fees.
I was so happy and contented that I have writen this tutorial to share to everybody.

I have bought 3 cordless phone that connects to the internet, 1 phone for my use, and the other two I sent to my in laws and my parent's house overseas.
Since then we have called each other anytime for unlimited hours without turning the computer on. (of course as long as the phone is on)

What you need to have: ( check the specs of the phone by pointing your mouse below)
1. a high speed internet connection ( a DSL or cable)
2. a router ( example:Linksys WRT54GL , D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Wireless Router)
3. an internet phone which can either be:
a. Belkin F1PP010EN-SK Desktop Internet Phone for Skype (Black)
b. GE - SKYPE - Dect 6.0 Cordless phone
c. linksys CIT 400
d.IPEVO SOLO Skype Desktop Phone - White Handset / Black Base
e. Netgear Dual Mode Cordless Phone with Skype(SPH200D)
f. Philips VOIP841 PC-Free DECT 6.0 Wireless IP Phone

Note: if you are a frequent traveller you will need a wifi phone so you can connect to wifi hotspot
g. Skype 802.11b/g Wifi Wireless Phone (No PC Required)
h. Panasonic Wi-fi Phone for Skype
- advantage is that you don't need to buy a router, but has a short battery life

Follow this steps and you can also call them anytime, unlimited and free:

1. Order the phone - one for each (yours, inlaws, parents)
2. plug and setup your router (skip this if you already have a router)
3. Plug the 3 phone to your router and of course the power adapter, leave them charging as required (usually 16 hours)

4. Go to your computer and download skype from skype.com
5. Register a username and password for you, your parents and your inlaws
6. log in to skype using the 1st username and password (you)
7. click Add contact -- add your parents and inlaws username
8. Sign out then sign in again as the 2nd username (parents) then add the 2 contacts (you, and inlaws)
9. Sign out again then sign in as the 3nd username (inlaws) add the 2 contacts (you, and parents)
Note: this is to ensure that you will be able to call each one of them and they can call you.

10. Enter each username and password in the 3 skype phone.
11. test by calling your contacts, (parents and inlaws)
12. send the Phone to them and tell them to plug the phone to their router ( if they don't have a router you need to send a router too or just ask them to buy a router there.)
Note: check power adapter (120V or 120 to 220V) if you will need a transformer

IF you want to watch all the cable channels from your parents house abroad (like Filipino channels GMA7, ABSCBN, etc. ) for free in your computer then send them the
Sling Media Slingbox Tuner ( SB220-100 ).
It connects to the router and cable ( no need to turn on the TV overseas), you can change the channel in your computer.
